The Careers, Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) Programme at Woodlands School is designed to support our youngsters in developing the skills, knowledge and experience that enables and empowers them to make informed decisions about their future career options. We provide a comprehensive, impartial and up to date programme that meets the Gatsby Benchmarks and the Career Development Institute’s (CDI) framework for Careers Education.

The core programmes of study are delivered through AROE and CRE (Citizenship and Aspirations, Resilience, Opportunity and Excellence)  and during tutor time. Pupils also learn about careers throughout the curriculum and each department will deliver activities linking their subject to career pathways.

All year 11 pupils will be given the opportunity to attend a careers interview with a Level 6 Qualified Careers Guidance Practitioner to discuss aspirations and next steps. Career interviews will be by appointment and it is vital that pupils attend promptly. Notice of appointment times are emailed directly via pupil email.
