The Role of the Prefect / Selection

Just 25-30 out of 300 get chosen to be a prefect after a rigorous selections processes.  They are our main role models with our top four senior prefects being our Head Girl, Head Boy and their two deputies.  A great honour.

Which year groups can apply for the role?: Year 10

How & when do pupils need to apply?: Spring half-term  

How are pupils selected?: Interview via SLT/ Lead Practitioners

How many places are available?: 25 - 30 Prefects (within this you have your Head Boy & Girl / Deputy Boy & Girl)

How often are pupils required to meet with staff?: When required

Which member of staff do they report to?: HOY/DWT

Additional information relevant to the role e.g. how long it lasts?: Until the end of Year 11 (new Prefects formally take over from spring term, however Year 11 Prefects still in position)
