This exciting partnership has been set up with the aim to inspire healthier futures, pathways into education and work and promote participation in physical activity and healthy living.


Woodlands School and West Ham United Foundation are offering each of the cluster schools within Basildon access to 12 hours of FREE PE delivery and Teacher mentoring over the course of 4 weeks, this will be working with both the children within the primary schools and the teachers who work within the primary school environment and have the desire to expand their knowledge surrounding Physical Education. As well as support in PE he partnership offers the chance to work with young students on Numeracy and Literacy.


In addition to the 12 hours of FREE provision each school will host a West Ham United Takeover day which involves every child from year 1 to year 6 in Physical Activity along with Numeracy and Literacy, these Takeover days will be helping to provide year 6 pupils with leadership and mentor roles. These students will also be assisted by the Elite Player Development students from Woodlands School.


In March 2018 each school will be invited along to the year 6 Premier League Tournament to play for the chance to represent West Ham United at the Premier League Schools Finals at Stamford Bridge.


After Easter the School will be hosting year 4 and year 5 football festival days.
