EPD Dance

The EPD Dance program is to find students that have a raw and natural talent. Please don’t think that you need lots of training and experience to audition. Of course that would help, but we want students that will work hard.

We hold auditions every year. We will teach you a routine this will give us the opportunity to see what technique and range you may have, so we can spot your potential for the future. You will also need to come prepared with your own worked on piece, this will be performed in your solo audition.

We put on 2 shows a year, one at Christmas and one in the summer. Whilst working hard for those shows we also have been asked to perform at various professional events.

As well as training to be dancers we also hope that the program will see dancers also becoming chorographers and leaders.  They will need to take responsibility for their own personal development, making decisions and having a positive can do attitude. Within the program we cover a range of dance styles; this is so you have a range of knowledge. This is to help you become an all-round dancer. As well as learning chorography you will learn all the basic techniques of being a dancer.

The program is demanding both physical and mentally, your teachers and other professional who work with you will have high expectations of you and will push you to achieve your very best. You will need to be a good organiser as you will have to organise your time wisely and be able to cope with pressure.

All dancers are required to represent the school at a range of dance events this may include weekends. Ideally we would expect all dancers to be dancing for a dancing school or stage school.

We are very proud of our achievements in EPD dance currently we have 1 dancer in Matilda the Musical in London’s West End, 1 under 16 champion
